This painting is a view of Umbrella Point on Bruny Island, as seen from Woodbridge, a small village south of Hobart on the mainland of Tasmania.
Even at a distance, the beauty of Nature on Bruny Island is entrancing, and this is especially so when seen by moonlight.
This artwork is an attempt to interrelate abstract geometric pattern with a form of 'representational art', in an effort to depict the beauty in the inseparable unity of harmony and pattern, which lies at the root of all that exists in Nature.
