All earrings are laser cut FSC certified 3mm ply wood and are very light weight. Earring posts are surgical stainless steel. Designs measure 4-6cm long 3-4cm wide.
From her studio in the colourful town of Nimbin, NSW, Philippa designs and creates for her illustration-based label, Pixie Nut & Co. Inspired by nature and Australian wildlife, Philippa uses her naive-design style to hand paint her designs. These are then transformed into a range of products including Australian iconic flora & fauna wooden earrings and brooches, fabrics, scarves and clothing.
Philippa was a maker from a young age, creating alongside her mother at local craft markets. She went on to study at TAFE receiving a Diploma of Fashion Design and Technology and then to Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts to receive an Advanced Diploma of Design.
Sustainability is important to Philippa. She is constantly striving to achieve better environmental practices for Pixie Nut & Co. She also supports a local wildlife rescue centre, Wires, with a monthly donation.
