Leatherwood Flower Pendant
Myrtle & Me
Medium Pendant Size: Diameter: 29 mm, Thickness: 4 mm
Large Pendant Size: Diameter: 42 mm, Thickness: 4 mm
Handmade in Tasmania (Australia) from sustainably sourced bamboo, recycled silver and glass.
This unique design is created from a photograph of a leatherwood flower, taken at the Port Arthur Historic Site (Tasmania, Australia)
The waxed cotton cord has been finished with sliding knots so the piece can be worn at different lengths in order to suit the neckline of your garment. Colours vary between light brown and black depending on the design selected.
Story from the Artist:
The graceful flower of the Leatherwood tree. It is responsible for one of the iconic fragrances and flavours of Tasmania. These exotic trees which only grow wildly in remote areas of the island are used (via the bees, of course) to create Leatherwood honey; a floral and complex taste sensation found nowhere else. On warm days in the Tasmanian rainforest, the smell of the Leatherwood in full blossom is an unmistakable aroma which I will always treasure.
Comes with a gift box.
