Frosted Pandani, Navarre Plains

Mid-winter frost covers relict pandanis and sedges at Navarre Plains, south of Lake St Clair. This area was recently included as an extension to the Western Tasmania World Heritage Area.


An ancient pencil pine, upwards of 1500 years old, grows at the treeline on a remote mountain range in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.
