“It is crucial we re-establish our reverence of Nature and regain an understanding of its workings if there is to be any future for humanity.
I want to present beauty as a worth in itself, and for that beauty to act as a conduit to a new affirmation with the natural world which we so desperately need to establish.” – Chris Bell

Chris works largely with a Linhof Technikardan 4x5” camera.

Mountain - A Group Exhibition

Mountains shape the Tasmanian landscape. Rising from mist and shadow, they stand as markers of deep time, sites of story, endurance, and awe. From the jagged dolerite cliffs of kunanyi to the weather-worn ranges of the west, these peaks hold layers of meaning—geological, ecological, and historical.

This group exhibition brings together artists working across diverse mediums to respond to the mountains of Tasmania. Through painting, photography, printmaking and drawing, each artist offers an individual encounter with these forms: as places of belonging, as symbols of resilience, as fragile environments under threat. It celebrates the mountains that define our unique landscape and experience in Tasmania.
