Edition: of 10, including 1/10 professionally mounted and framed.
Ajar with Stories is a hand-carved linocut, rolled up with black linseed oil ink. The lino is carved with sharp lino-cutting tools and the shape of the jar is cut out with a craft knife. The block has then been printed onto Stonehenge paper.
This linocut relates to the stories of a coastline that has been forged through time and turbulent weather patterns where broken fragments are discarded by the sea, worn and smoothed by waves. As with small pieces of broken beach pottery, amongst the fragments lies a bigger narrative of history.
