Ben Walter and Jane Rawson
Should we be writing books when the world is about to end?

Jane Rawson is a former editor of the environment and energy section of The Conversation, an independent news website, and author of ‘The Handbook: surviving and living with climate change’ - an intelligent and practical guide for action in the face of a climate crisis under government disagreement, denial and obfuscation.

Ben Walter is a Tasmanian writer of lyrical, Un-Australian fiction and one of the nation’s most widely published writers of short stories.

One million species approaching extinction, two degrees of warming locked in: how could writing a book possibly help? Jane and Ben will explore how the subterranean conversation of writing can bring a seismic shift in minds and culture.

All are welcome - questions and discussion will be an integral part of each presentation.

Admission is by donation.
