There is in the living being a thirst for limitlessness
We live at a pivotal time in history when our beautiful world is moving rapidly towards ecological catastrophe. A fundamental tenet of a spiritual approach to life is that, ultimately, we are all connected. This understanding, and the intuition, insights and strength gained through the practice of yoga and meditation can bring resilience, creativity and courage to the crises that we now all face. Meditation can also enable the deep shift in consciousness that might give us a fighting chance of an outcome that reflects the best, rather than the worst, of what we are.
This six week course will be a gentle introduction to a balanced yogic lifestyle. The course will cover:
• yoga asanas
• the practice and principles of spiritual meditation
• yogic diet and personal health
• yogic ethics
• self and society – our place in the world
