Mapatazi Soap Set by Greenwash
This quirky organic soap gift trio is made in Hobart, Tasmania, and pays homage to the tongue in cheek slang term which refers to a female's pubic region as a 'map of tassie'. This term has circulated down here in the South, due to the aesthetic likeness of this female region to the pictorial representation of the state of Tasmania. These soaps are fair trade and vegan and don't contain any nasty chemicals, synthetic fragrances or palm oil.
'Mapatazi' soaps come packaged in a beautiful boxed gift set, that has been letterpressed and handpainted.
Featuring Tasmania sweet fennel and Kunzea essences, including hints of fennel, pink grapefruit, frankincense, ylang ylang and bergamot.
Greenwash believes that there are inexhaustible amount of concoctions to put on one’s body and not enough passionate creations; it is more humane to test cosmetics on Australians than on animals; that objects you touch every day must be insanely pleasurable and beautifully made; that the devil is in the details…and in the intention; that the only luxury that is left is a craftsmanship; in a dirty handjob...hand-cut soap bars, hand-poured balms, hand-formulated fragrances; that green is the new black; that pedestrian business models influenced by consumerism culture and ethics lack intellectual content; that if you do luxury (yes, a fancy bar of soap counts) you have to treat people in a human way and you have to be elegant, you can’t ask poor people in bad conditions to make beautiful things; in the sincere hearts of those who work closely with us; we can effortlessly help those fellows of our tribe who are in need; in 'lets play' and that you should never take yourself too seriously.
